As I reflect on the end of 2020, I decided to remember all the positive things and there were many. I got to predominantly work from home which was very pleasant. I went from working in an office with no windows to my home with lovely windows that overlooked lots of trees and nature. My commute was so much shorter. My work hours were reduced; however, I was able to manage and with the reduction of hours I had more time to reflect, slow down and do a lot of soul searching.

I got involved with an amazing group of women who were interested in what I had to say and who valued my opinions. I learned that doing what mattered to me was just as important as doing things for others. A friend suggested I read a book that has actually changed my life and opened so many new doors. I look at the coming year with excitement and anticipation.

My meditation practice continues to bring me contentment and deeper acceptance of the situations in my life. I continue to miss my grandchildren more than words can express; however, I hold on to the hope that someday they will know how much I truly loved and wanted to be near them.

When I look back it does seem strange that while the world spun out of control, I found so much inner peace and with eager anticipation I look forward to the challenges of 2021.

To all my amazing friends who have been there for me through all the ups and downs, who have supported and loved me I thank each and every one of you. I value all of you more than words can say.
